The Story
The 1960s is my (the guy who writes these stories) favorite era of watches, and THIS watch is part of the reason why. This Wakmann early-60s oversized chronograph is sexy, yes, but it also packs a crazy cool mechanical punch, with a Venus 188 30-minute chronograph movement underneath a brilliant warm silver dial using red and blue telemeter scales and crisp Arabic numerals at 12 and 6. It’s all in a surprisingly modern 37mm case that will look flawless on any strap you could possibly imagine.
